Now that Toronto is sufficiently saturated with Yoga studios and sushi restaurants, it is high time for a new citywide obsession. Introducing self-serve frozen yogurt shops. These futuristic looking havens of sweetness began popping up a couple of summers ago and show no sign of slowing down. Baring no discrimination towards neighbourhood, any location in the city is fair game. Where there are mouths, there are frozen yogurt shops to feed them. Here is how the magic happens: Grab a cup, crank out as much yogurt as you’d like from the ten or so flavours that are offered daily, choose from up to fifty toppings to finish off your creation. Weigh, pay and enjoy! I recently made the rounds of four ‘fro-yo’ shops and compared their offerings. I rated them out of five possible Yos.
