Yiskor ceremony set for Earle Bales Park

TORONTO – The Canadian Society for Yad Vashem will hold its annual Yizkor ceremony on Sun., Sept. 23 to honour those whose perished in and survived the Shoah.
The commemoration will begin at 11 a.m. at the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem Holocaust Wall of Remembrance in Earle Bales Park. DJ Schneeweiss, consul general for Israel in Toronto, and City Councillor James Pasternak will speak at the service and a number of MPs are expected to attend. The ceremony will include the lighting of the Yad Vashem menorah and readings by students from Bialik Hebrew Day School.
