It takes chutzpah for New Israel Fund to march in Celebrate Israel Parade
March 30, 2012 | Jewish Tribune
Theodore Bikel, 88, best known to a lifetime of Jewish theater-goers as Fiddler on the Roof's Tevye the Milkman, carries the dubious distinction of also being one more in a series of leading, enigmatic Hollywood/Broadway members in good standing of the shameless and self demeaning Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
It’s appalling and it's real. Look it up.
The constant, unqualified carp referring to the truly unsubstantiated misnomer ‘occupied territory,’ as opposed to the more truthful and defensible reference, ‘disputed territory,’ bears witness to the BDS group bias and the affront this poses to the rest of us, who find their irresponsible actions destructive and unforgiveable.
To add even more undeniable credence to the embarrassing Bikel (and company) aspirations on behalf of the BDS, his solid membership in Jewish Voice for Peace and chair of Meretz USA should definitely not be overlooked.
Why?
Because it’s true and it’s all there for everyone to judge, providing they were aware of such details to begin with.
And finally, the unavoidable reference to the New Israel Fund (NIF), as an abettor and maybe unintentional arm’s length but hardly arguable co-conspirator to those who do boycott Israel and unbecomingly have the chutzpah to spew their vitriol while marching in the annual Celebrate Israel Parade, once again (Jewish Tribune, March 29, 2012).
