Sidney Margles, who was a pioneer in news reporting and talk radio at CJAD, Montreal, was honoured by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters by being named to the Broadcasters Hall of Fame at a recent ceremony in Ottawa. The plaque was presented to Margles by CAB Chair Charlotte Bell.
Margles retired after 40 years in the broadcasting industry but has remained active in numerous voluntary positions, including a two-year period as a consultant to Radio Shalom, the all-Jewish Montreal radio station. |
