In reading about British war hero Richard Kemp’s courageous defence of the IDF’s conduct during Operation Cast Lead (Jewish Tribune, Oct. 22), it is indeed heartening that the words of an anonymous philosopher “truth, although crushed to the ground, will rise again” still ring true today.

One doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the spectacle of the UN human rights groups  launching investigations against Israel, while the purveyor of the worst Jew-hatred since Hitler, Mahmoud Ahmadinajad, the president of Iran, remains a member of that “august” body (sic) as he  calls for the destruction of the Jewish state.

In the final analysis, a  fitting response to the Goldstone Report would be that Israel  leave the  United Nations and not allow  itself to continue to be condemned and maligned by hypocritical countries  who ‘see no evil or hear no evil’ in raging conflicts that exist in other areas of the world.

For truly,  a nation that has lost its self pride, has lost its way.
